"An array, a conglomeration, an aggregate, a clump.

In musical terms, a cluster is a musical chord comprising at least three adjacent tones in a scale, resulting in a block of notes whose pitch cannot be determined.

This is the idea behind this mixtape written, recorded, and mixed during lockdown in Paris.
An array of ideas, an action painting of notes, a juxtaposition of moods. Fragments constituting a whole.

During lockdown, I figured I might work on my guitar, learn to speak Italian, bake my own bread, and God knows what else, but in the end, I did much better than that.
I reconnected with the simple pleasure of making music for myself. Music as a shelter, the kind that gives you chills.
When it’s dark outside, the light you look for is within.

It is a spontaneous gesture: create rather than hone.
From now on, I’ll try and release music on a more regular basis. That’s a promise.

Fun facts :

- The drums heard on some bits were played by Julien Barbagallo (Barbagallo, Tame Impala) and recorded with a single mic in a barn at precisely the other side of the world, in Australia
- The ambient sounds were recorded near the Stromboli volcano in Sicily, exactly one year ago
- According to BBC News, the slowing down of human activity resulted in Earth quaking less during lockdown
- Scientists have taken the amino acids sequence of the Covid-19 protein and ‘translated’ it to music:
